The Valentino: Master of Couture exhibition opened Friday at Somerset House in London. The retrospective for the Italian designer Valentino Garavani, who was born in 1932 and retired from his namesake label in 2008, is expected to draw major crowds. The exhibition features over 130 of his couture creations including designs worn by style icons like Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren and Gwyneth Paltrow. The special installation was designed by Patrick Kinmonth and Antonio Monfreda, and was curated by Alistair O’Neill of London’s famous Central St Martins fashion school.
